New bewilderedkid comic, new pin-up!

Hello everyone!

I thoroughly enjoyed the topic of bathroom etiquite that was sparked by last week's comment.

This week I have another pin-up! However, this artist hardly ever draws. In fact, I had to practically beg her to draw for me. Well, this "her", is my wife AJ. She always says that she "sucks" at drawing. I disagree. I think anybody can draw. It is something we learned to do as kids. However, at some point during one's journey towards maturity people decide to stop drawing. Some people decide to stop being creative. It just boggles my mind why this happens. Anyhow, here is AJ's rendition of Miacatyo.

Now, here is this week's comic! Enjoy!

Oh and I almost forgot! A very special happy birthday wish to my little sister who turns 21 today.

One theory is that most people give up on drawing when they 're about 12 and school starts to be all about "work, work, work" and prestation. Some like the distraction/fun of drawing, but most get frustrated because they feel it's yet another thing you have work at to be good.
I'm still torn between the 2.

Who would win in a fight:

PORNBOT
or
A MYSPACE SPAM SEX ROBOT?

Also, I have no idea why some people just keep drawing.
I think some out of fun and enjoyment, some are just talented, some are just driven, and some were just meant to.
I just wish there were still apprenticeships like in the 1800s.
Who knows...

I think the reason that people stop drawing when they grow older is because drawing requires three things: time, focus, and solitude. All of which are increasingly rare as we get older.

Yes!
I agree with Ryan.
We draw because its what we choose to do with our free time before we die.

Rembrand: I am remain in the camp that you are only as good as you think you are. I believe that you can always look at somebody else's work and have a certain admiration, I would go as far as saying jealousy, of their skill and still continue drawing. I just don't think enough people look back and remember that drawing was fun when they were younger. My grandmother always told me that I should color inside the lines, but I didn't care what she thought about my coloring, because I was having fun coloring outside of the lines.

staplegenius (1st time around): Who WOULD win in a fight? Pornbot or A Myspace Spam Sex Robot? Let's put it up to a VOTE! ENABLE VOTING!!!
I too wish there were apprenticeships.

ryan: I believe that time, focus, and solitude can be found, but you must make time for them. Of course, I don't have as much time as when I was four, but I still make time for it (i.e. Cartoonist Conspiracy, bewilderedkid.com, SFC! when I get my ass in gear...)

staplegenius (2nd time around): ditto.

anonymous: The next thing you know Danallax has found a new home for his secret green magic juice...YOUR FACE!!!!

myspace = spam sex robot (DEFAULT SETTING). so really, you're pitting PORNBOT vs myspace, And through anonymous' fine conclusion, we get:

Your Wife vs myspace.

And we all know that spam, be it sex-based or robot-based, sux. So by default, Your Wife wins. (pick a harder battle next time, guys.)

Major reasons drawing stopped in my life:

a) grades
b) people laughed
c) told to color within the lines
d) not encouraged enough from my peers
e) video games

Yes, mark that up to Video Games Took My Life, 1 point.

Now with art in my life, I rarely have time to play video games. Art: 1 point, video games: 0

Final score........tie?!?
