I've been to a couple of conventions around the U.S. over the last few years, as a fan, but it never fails that I hear these two questions asked to creators.
First, "how do you come up with your ideas?"
Second, "how do you break into the business?"
Well, luckily for those who ask the first question, my friend Zander Cannon over at Big Time Attic came up with a handy list on how to come up with your ideas. You can find it here. Thanks Zander!
Now for that second question...I honestly don't know, since I am not IN the BUSINESS. Instead, I just make my comics and hope that people like them.
Also, for those who care, Evil Eye "The Comic" is now in stock and on sale at Big Brain Comics! What is Evil Eye "The Comic"? It is crazy. Pure, unadulterated crazy.
This week's bewilderedkid comic is below.

What?! Evil Eye, for sale?!
Gadzooks, someone buy me a copy, and I'll pay them back!
Also, I think you should make brontosaurus t-shirts, as I'd buy one.
That is all.
I think you should re-tool the storyline and have the EVIL EYE guy take over...since it kinda looks like he already has...:)
Is that a puddle of pee pee? BWA HAHA! I like the new creative team :)
matthew: Brontosaurus t-shirts? Maybe I will then! Also, I bought Evil Eye. I think it's better if you rip it into four pieces.
staplegenius: It looks like Evil Eye has taken over? Yeah, I guess you're right. I won't co-opt his character, but I could possibly do a parody.
jenny: Yes! It is a puddle of pee! In fact, its name is Floating Puddle of Piss! The new creative team is simple, but I have a feeling that they will be getting a new member in the future,
Man, I was really really tempted to go out and pick up an Evil Eye comic today. Maybe some other time.
So be it. Lets do an Evil Eye Anthology.
And where's this weeks strip already?!
ryan: I guess I am happy that I purchased my copy of Evil Eye. It was especially funny when I came in and asked Drivas for the comic by name. Classic moment.
bud: Can we REALLY do an Evil Eye Anthology? I would feel wrong about co-opting somebody's characters that I did not know and then creating new adventures for them. I guess what I'm saying is that I don't work for Marvel Comics.
bud: Geez!! I'm logging on to post right now!
